It’s amazing to see a landscape in which once an ad is sold, literally every piece of the puzzle that comes after occurs without manual interference. It allows the YGS brand to focus more on the success of its advertisers, delivering a premium product that is tied directly to the efficiencies they’ve established by understanding the importance of leveraging technology.

In the world of association publications, ad collection can often feel arduous and tedious for advertisers, association staff, and media sales teams. But with YGS Association Solutions’ new automated system, ad collection has gone from time-consuming to easy peasy.
Recently, the YGS media sales and ad collection team integrated its SendMyAd portal with Salesforce, marrying the sales and collection process into a streamlined workflow and saving time on what used to be burdensome tasks.
Some of the benefits of the new system are as follows:
- When an ad is purchased through Salesforce, the system sends an automated outreach to the advertiser, with all the key information they need to complete their submission. These communications recur at specific points throughout the ad collection process.
- When an ad is submitted through the automated portal, an advertiser can see in real time any issues regarding the ad, including incorrect bleed, incorrect ad size, issues with quality, too many words for a digital ad, and more—really, anything not measuring up to and being within the required specs listed out on the media kit. Its quality assurance made foolproof.
- An advertiser can see a history of what was submitted and when it was submitted.
- An advertiser can upload and approve the ad within the portal and get a confirmation email that they have done so.
- An advertiser can upload and view their ad anywhere at any time through the web-based platform.
- The process by which YGS requests ads is also streamlined. When we send ad requests, we can link directly to the portal and even sometimes directly to the reservation created, so there is no guessing on what an advertiser needs to do or upload.
