Moving Strategic Sales Solutions Forward

Overview

Media sales for the Institute of Transportation Engineers used to be managed and sold by a single contact at the association. To keep up with an evolving global community of transportation professionals, ITE collaborated with YGS Association Solutions to provide sales, marketing, ad trafficking, and management expertise. The partnership drove a sustainable influx in non-dues revenue and advertiser satisfaction. 

Challenge

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is an international membership association of transportation professionals—14,000 members strong in more than 90 countries—who work to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users and help build smart and livable communities. In early 2016, ITE partnered with YGS Association Solutions to sell their media and annual event properties. Prior to YGS’s involvement, these properties were sold in-house by a single contact at ITE. Since taking on the account, YGS Association Solutions has increased media sales by more than $100,000. 

Results

We continues to grow advertising and annual event sales for ITE, providing sales, marketing, and production expertise. Our role in the ITE Annual Event includes attending the event and booking exhibits on the exhibit floor for the following year. Additionally, YGS Association Solutions sells new event sponsorships from year to year based on the location and industry trends, adding new opportunities for sponsorship. In 2020, we collaborated with and supported ITE through the development of a virtual annual meeting complete with sponsorship opportunities.
